In November, 2009, Dr. Silverman was notified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery that he had passed the Combined-Hand Recertification.
The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery awards a certificate to those doctors that specialize in orthopaedic surgery, have met the educational requirements of the Board, and have demonstrated proficiency in orthopaedic surgery, as well as adherence to ethical and professional standards.
Over the next 10 years, Dr. Silverman will maintain his certification by participating in the Maintenance of Certification Program (MOC) where by Dr. Silverman will take part in additional requirements for periodic documentation and reporting of lifelong learning and performance in practice.
